Album: Tyga – $TARFACE

Tyga explores a new phase of his music with the release of $TARFACE, a 10-track project that showcases a distinct creative identity. Drawing influence from ’80s pop culture and featuring synth-heavy production, the album presents a retro alter ego for Tyga, moving towards a more melodic sound rather than his traditional rap style. $TARFACE incorporates nostalgic elements and a cinematic feel, setting it apart from his previous works. The project’s rollout included singles such as “GAVE U RACKS” and “Affection,” which offered listeners a preview of its new direction.

This change has generated considerable discussion online. Some fans have praised Tyga for his willingness to take creative risks and evolve his sound, while others have noted similarities to Tory Lanez, pointing to the album’s retro vibe, vocal-focused style, and genre-blending production. Regardless of interpretation, $TARFACE represents a significant stylistic shift in Tyga’s career.
