Latto Seems To Challenge Cardi B To Collaborate In The Studio On The New Track ‘Gimmie Dat’

Latto seems to challenge Cardi B to collaborate on a new track.

On May 29, Latto released her latest album, Big Mama, which she states will be her final project. In the song “Gimmie Dat,” she appears to reference a leaked phone call from 2025 in which Cardi B expressed frustrations about wanting to confront Ice Spice and remarked, “I ain’t pu**y a*s Latto.” Cardi later apologized, offering to buy Latto a purse as a gesture of goodwill. However, it appears that Latto may still feel some resentment.

In her rap, Latto states, “B**ch said what? Let’s clock it/Really got a Hermès store in my closet. Talkin’ ’bout buyin’ big mama a bag like my ni**a ain’t already bought it/Like my ni**a ain’t comin’ off racks/Big bank over here, big facts/Wish a b**ch would get in that booth/I’m callin’ up PlaqueBoyMax.”

Reactions from fans on social media have surfaced regarding what is perceived as a diss.

One user tweeted, “But let’s be realistic, Cardi said a lot of unnecessary stuff to her and she apologized like she said nothing. Saying you’ll buy her a bag is also disrespectful to Latto and her man too!! I fw her for dissing Cardi.”

Another user commented, “I mean Cardi kinda deserved it that ‘I ain’t pu**y a*s Latto’ must’ve been humiliating 😭 she gotta protect her image and this was a light whack she could’ve been nastier.”

Latto’s apparent call-out of Cardi B and the subsequent social media reactions can be explored further.
