Pooh Shiesty’s Father To Be Released From Jail, Gucci Mane Robbery Trial Set For July

Pooh Shiesty’s father is set to be released from federal custody following his arrest in connection with the alleged robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane.

A report from Action News 5, published on Thursday (May 28), states that a judge ordered Lontrell Williams Sr. to be released on bond while the robbery case involving him, Pooh Shiesty, and seven other individuals remains ongoing in a Texas federal court.

Pooh Shiesty, along with his father, Big30, and six other men, are accused of robbing and kidnapping several individuals, including Gucci Mane, at a music studio in Dallas on January 10. Prosecutors allege that the group misled Gucci Mane into visiting the studio under the pretense of discussing business and recording music. According to investigators, during the session, Pooh reportedly brandished an automatic firearm and coerced Gucci into signing a release at gunpoint, while other associates allegedly took cash and jewelry from the rapper and other victims.

During a hearing on April 8, the FBI disclosed that Gucci Mane provided a statement to law enforcement regarding the alleged robbery and kidnapping. Pooh and the others were arrested in April after a raid on the home of the Memphis rapper’s father in Tennessee.

Pooh Shiesty, whose full name is Lontrell Williams Jr., and Big30, whose real name is Rodney Wright Jr., have both pleaded not guilty in the case and remain in custody after their bonds were revoked.

The federal trial for Pooh Shiesty and his co-defendants is scheduled for July 6. If convicted, all nine men could potentially face life in prison.
