Kanye West’s Album ‘BULLY’ Is Set To Be Released On March 20 As Part Of A Deal With Gamma

Kanye West has maintained that he is not making a “PR move” to promote his upcoming album, BULLY. Nonetheless, the artist now known as Ye has signed a distribution deal with gamma for the release of this highly anticipated, yet delayed, project.

Gamma, established in 2023 by former Apple Music executive Larry Jackson and Ike Youssef, includes artists such as Usher, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, and Sexyy Red in its roster. Ye’s 12th studio album is set to be released on March 20.

Originally announced in September 2024, some songs and early versions of BULLY were made available online, with pre-orders starting in October 2024. A short film titled Bully V1, featuring Ye’s eldest son, Saint, was released in June 2025. However, initial versions containing AI were poorly received, leading Ye to state that it was “not finished” and that he intended to remove the AI elements from the final album.

According to Rolling Stone, the version of BULLY planned for release in March was completed prior to Ye’s full-page “apology” ad in the Wall Street Journal on January 26. After the ad was published, it faced backlash, with critics claiming the apology regarding his antisemitic and hateful remarks felt insincere and seemed timed to coincide with his album promotion.

In an email interview with Vanity Fair shortly after the ad’s publication, Ye stressed that this was not aimed at reviving his commercial success. He expressed that the feelings of remorse he experienced were significant and troubling for him.

Despite this, the narrative suggesting that Ye’s apology was linked to a forthcoming album appears to be materializing.

Ye’s previous album, 2022’s DONDA 2, also had an unconventional release approach, debuting via a Stem Player before an edited version became available on streaming services through his YZY brand in 2025.
