2Baba Asks Fans To Respect His Privacy Amid Increased Tension Regarding His Marriage

Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, known as 2Baba, has requested that fans and the public refrain from exacerbating the current situation regarding his marriage to his wife, Natasha Osawaru, expressing concern that the heightened interest is endangering her safety.

He conveyed this message through an Instagram Story featuring the title “A plea” with the phrase “help me” prominently displayed. In a subsequent video, he called for calm and indicated that the circumstances had escalated beyond his initial expectations.

In the video, the 50-year-old artist asked his supporters to refrain from intensifying the issue, pointing out that the scrutiny was posing risks to Natasha Osawaru and aggravating an already sensitive situation. He acknowledged that disagreements are normal in relationships but stated that the current developments were detrimental.

“This is getting out of hand, and it’s becoming a dangerous situation,” he remarked. “I know what fans can do; I know what people can do. I’m perfectly okay. This is putting Natasha at risk, it’s not fair to anybody.”

He urged friends, family, and fans to “calm down” and allow him and his wife to manage their private issues. “Please, ceasefire. I beg you. I am perfectly fine. I did not make that post. Please, I’m okay,” he said, in reference to earlier social media posts he claimed he did not write.

The controversy escalated following a live session led by media figure Daddy Freeze, during which 2Baba’s former management team, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Natasha of attempting to take “full control” of his personal and professional life. They alleged that she managed his finances and public appearances and stated that the singer needed to be “saved.”

The situation became more complicated when 2Baba joined the live session and told his former managers to “shut the f**k up,” instructing them to stay out of his personal matters. Shortly afterward, an off-camera argument between him and Natasha was heard before the livestream ended abruptly.

The singer’s remarks seem to be directed at putting an end to the public drama while safeguarding his wife as the situation attracts significant attention.

“I am perfectly okay… this is putting Natasha at risk. I need everybody to cease fire. We are going to resolve all these issues.”
