Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy has reacted to Shatta Wale’s attack against Nigerian artistes with a statement that many find controversial.
In this statement released via Twitter on Thursday, the 30th of December 2021, Stonebwoy stated that Shatta Wale, although did not present his statement appropriately, was indeed pointing his fingers towards the right path, concluding that Shatta Wale was right to blame Nigerian artistes the way he did.
Stonebwoy wrote, “My brother Shatta Wale’s approach may be wrong but the topic of our brother nation Nigeria not reciprocating the love and support it receives particularly from Ghana is valid and deserves critical attention.”
In his statement, Stonebwoy stated that the success the Nigerian music industry enjoys is “due to the strength of its population …”.
Stonebwoy went on to state that “Accordingly, our Nigerian brothers must consider that with great power comes great responsibility of helping to forge a united African front by deliberately allowing music from the other African countries which pollinate Nigerian music to flourish to flourish on Nigerian platforms on local and international level”.
