1900Rugrat – Where Da Fine Shyt ft. Rio Da Yung Og

Following his XXL Freshman spot this year, 1900Rugrat is ready to continue building on his rap career with some other well-known artists. He has enlisted Rio Da Yung Og to feature on the new song “Where Da Fine Shyt,” following up last July’s “Stop Runnin” with another hit track for the fans.

This track will not come as a surprise, regardless of whether you are a dedicated fan or have a general sense of their style. This single has a simple composition: it features minimal piano melodies, bell hits, steady soft hi-hats, dry and fast kicks, and a solo string synthesizer playing in the background. Ultimately, it’s up to Rio to make a strong impression over this Detroit-inspired beat, and the “WHAT U SPEND” MC has some cheeky lines and a passable flow to captivate.

Rugrat continues the same momentum with his drawl and vivid imagery, as showcased on his February album Porch 2 The Pent, delivering a straightforward performance that fits within his typical style. Despite their similarities, this song delivers the kind of predictable consistency fans of both rappers have been expecting. They might want to add some extra Florida flair to their next gathering.

It remains to be seen whether 1900Rugrat and Rio Da Yung Og will collaborate again in the future. “Where Da Fine Shyt” serves as a decent starting point, but perhaps our preference for regional unity is merely an instance of nitpicking.
