Young Thug’s UY Scuti album was released last Friday, September 26, with a varied selection of tracks. On this project, he reunited with several long-time collaborators, featured his long-time partner, and also collaborated with a few of the leading women in rap. Notably absent from the album is Drake.

During an episode of the “It’s Up There Podcast” on Monday, September 29, Young Thug discussed why a collaboration with the native of Toronto failed to materialize. I couldn’t get the Drake feature because he is on tour. He’s running around, he’s doing a lot of rubbish,” he explained. Notably, Drizzy has been performing on his “Some Special Shows 4 EU Tour” since July and is also preparing for the release of his upcoming solo album, Iceman. Notably, Drizzy has been on his β€œ$ome $pecial $hows 4 EU Tour” since July and is also gearing up for the rollout of his next solo album, Iceman.

Thugger stated that although he hasn’t provided a specific timeline for another collaboration with Drake, he has given fans reason to believe that a new project is on the way. The Atlanta rapper said, “We’re going to make up for them not hearing us with this collaboration on our album.” “My brother and I have something planned for certain.”

As history has shown, whenever Drizzy and Young Thug collaborate on a song, something special occurs. The group has released earlier hits such as “Sacrifices” and “Ice Melts” from their 2017 album “More Life,” with additional songs like “Way 2 Sexy,” “Oh U Went” and the Gunna-assisted track “Solid” appearing in subsequent years.

Young Thug cleared up speculation that the album, initially expected to release on September 19, was put on hold due to artists removing their collaborations. “Don’t believe the hype,” he cautioned “It’s Up There Podcast” host Looney. Who all of you thought wouldn’t be on the album? It is included on the album.

The surprise came to many when Lil Baby and Future, two artists Thugger had mentioned during his leaked jail calls, ultimately made the final cut. On “Miss My Dogs,” he hinted that Wham was not answering his calls, yet the My Turn artist is featured on the LP’s “Pardon My Back.”
