Young Thug Seeks Forgiveness Following Leaked Jail Call That Damaged His Reputation

Young Thug is currently embarked on an apology tour. On Sunday, 7 September, the Atlanta-based rapper posted on X, seeking forgiveness from fans and acquaintances, following further leaks of audio recordings in which he had denigrated fellow rappers over the weekend. The origin of the leaked phone calls made during his period of incarceration remains unclear.

The infamous Young Stoner Life Records RICO case resulted in multiple defendants accepting plea deals, while Thugger received a sentence of time served and parole. One of the stipulations for his parole was that he must avoid any further incidents. According to law enforcement, he appears to be abiding by the rules, but the public may have a differing view.

Late on a Sunday afternoon, the rapper known as “Bubbly” posted a tweet that read, “To all parties concerned, I regret that this is unfolding, and I hope you are able to pardon me.” I’m moving forward with my life – thank you, God.

Adding to this, he said “Flaws and all” four hours later. On the Monday morning of September 8, he later added, “In times like these, it is expected that my loved ones should focus on the good that I have done for them, rather than the negative aspects.”

The Slime Season creator has managed to alienate many people due to the phone audio being widely shared online. Individuals such as Future, Drake, and GloRilla are among those giving him side eye. According to reports, Young Thug allegedly referred to Future as an “idiot” and strongly criticized him for declining to participate in a “Free Thug” show during the trial.

Young Thug’s girlfriend, Mariah The Scientist, was also issued a personal apology earlier on Monday, after a leaked phone call revealed him confessing to cheating on her, just days before his arrest.

I appreciate everything and will go to great lengths to ensure this succeeds. You taught me about love, and I fear that I may have lost you permanently. Please leave her out of this. She’s an innocent girl who feels guilty about everything that’s happening. Grant her peace.
