Young Thug and YFN Lucci are facing off once more. Their albums UY SCUTI and ALREADY LEGEND are scheduled to be released on Friday, September 26, but from their social media posts, it appears neither artist is particularly enthusiastic about it.

On September 22, Thugger posted a photo of himself lying on the ground surrounded by UY SCUTI box set merchandise. He wrote “F**k YFN Lucci” in the caption. YFN Lucci later responded with a photo of the “Digits” artist blowing a kiss to the camera. “He wrote underneath the post that an album isn’t worth a million, ugly ahh man.” “The Friday drop of [ALREADY LEGEND.] is already legendary, buddy.”

According to REVOLT, Young Thug and YFN Lucci’s feud began in 2017, after the former rapper referred to himself as the new Tupac Shakur on his album Beautiful Thugger Girls. YFN Lucci replied on X that Pac would never wear a dress. The two exchanged barbs online both then and again in 2019.

Details about their feud surfaced in public last year while both rappers were incarcerated. Prosecutors in Young Thug’s Young Stoner Life Records RICO trial claimed he was the leader of a Bloods-linked gang, Young Slime Life, which they assert was accountable for the killing of Donovan “Nut” Thomas Jr., a close associate of Lucci’s.

Numerous fans conjectured that UY SCUTI would debut on the same day as Cardi B’s AM I THE DRAMA?, which was scheduled for September 19. Thugger later clarified that his initial claim was not his actual plan all along. “You all knew I wasn’t dropping it on Friday.” It’s a women’s day. He posted on X, “Do you even, Cardi B?” to which she quote-tweeted, “And you would do well to step up next week.” You’re fully capable of handling it. You have to be aware of this.

Although much anticipation has been building, a great deal remains unknown about UY SCUTI, including its features and tracklist. Back in April, Young Thug released its lead single, “Money On Money,” which features Future. He previewed an unreleased collaboration with Ken Carson at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash 2025. By September, he opened up in the apologetic “Miss My Dogs” about his relationships with Mariah the Scientist, Lil Baby, Drake, and others.
