The Nigerian artist has postponed the release of his anticipated album, Blue Disco, citing the worsening insecurity in the country as a reason that makes it difficult to proceed with a celebratory launch.

The announcement was made on Thursday, November 20, 2025, through a statement shared on his official X account, in which Young Jonn expressed that the current atmosphere of fear, grief, and uncertainty has deeply affected him.

“It’s disheartening that Nigeria is still confronted with such overwhelming challenges; the insecurity has become unbearable,” he stated. “It’s very clear that leaders and citizens must strive to do better while praying for strength to navigate these difficult times. Consequently, I’ve decided to postpone the release of my album, Blue Disco, to a later date.”

He concluded his message with a prayer for national healing, stating, “Above all, I’m praying for healing across our nation — that peace, unity, and hope are restored to Nigeria.”
