Nigerian musician, actor and politician, Olubankole Wellington has finally opened up about his contract with Wizkid.
In an interview with Bounce TV , he revealed that Wizkid’s contract was a five-album deal which he only delivered two albums.
“It was a 5 album deal in the beginning and he had done two. The superstar album and Ayo. He still owe EME three albums”, he said.
Banky W also revealed that he didn’t want the case to drag out for long and that was one of the reasons he let Wizkid go even after breaching the contract.
He added that it was pretty obvious Wizkid wanted to go, so he couldn’t force him to stay thereby creating animosity or resentment.
This coming 9 years after Wizkid left Banky W’s record label. According to Wizkid, he left with zero naira and his friends and manger can attest to this.
"I think Wizkid's EME contract was a 5-album deal and he had done two. I think he still owed 3 albums but…"
