Wizkid Engages In Social Media Dispute With Seun Kuti

Nigerian music artist Wizkid has continued his public disputes with Seun Kuti, engaging in exchanges on social media.

On January 20, 2025, the Grammy-winning singer responded once more to Seun Kuti, who has recently been public in criticizing Wizkid’s fanbase, known as Wizkid FC.

Seun Kuti, the son of the late Afrobeat icon Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has repeatedly referred to Wizkid FC as the “most ignorant fan base in the world.”

He has also ridiculed the fans for referring to Wizkid as the “New Fela,” asserting that his father’s legacy is unparalleled.

Seun claims that Fela achieved significant success during his lifetime, to the point that he continues to earn from his work posthumously—something he suggests the parents of Wizkid’s fans cannot comprehend.

Wizkid has shown little intention of backing down. In a previous reaction reported by MP3Bullet, the singer asserted that he has exceeded Fela Kuti’s legacy.

He labeled Seun as

“a fool at 40” and a “pussyboy,”

intensifying the dispute.

The situation intensified as Wizkid expressed irritation over Seun Kuti’s frequent Instagram Live sessions, where he reportedly criticizes Wizkid FC.

Wizkid also introduced a new nickname for Seun Kuti and involved his wife, Yetunde Kuti, in the ongoing disagreement.

In one Instagram post, Wizkid tagged Seun Kuti directly, stating:

“@bigbirdkuti,

I’m bigwiz everyday, bigger than your papa!! wetin u wan do fool.”

He followed up with a blunt comment:

“Hungry bastard.”

Wizkid further extended the feud to X, where he made remarks regarding Seun Kuti’s wife, criticizing her appearance. In a controversial tweet, he wrote:

“Everyday Wizkid! I fuck ur ugly wife ? Wetin!”

This ongoing exchange continues to provoke responses online, with both fans and critics commenting on the escalating tension between the two artists. As of this report, Seun Kuti has not yet responded to Wizkid’s recent remarks.
