Wizkid Continues To Criticize Seun Kuti During Ongoing Online Dispute

Grammy Award-winning artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known as Wizkid, has responded to Seun Kuti after several days of exchanges that have gained attention on social media.

The conflict began when Seun Kuti, son of the late Afrobeat innovator Fela Anikulapo Kuti, suggested that Wizkid would not succeed unless he removed a tattoo of Fela from his arm.

This comment arose amid a dispute involving Wizkid and his fan base, known as Wizkid FC.

Seun criticized Wizkid FC during multiple Instagram Live sessions, labeling them as uninformed for comparing Wizkid to his late father. His remarks included strong language directed at some fans’ parents, which heightened the situation.

After remaining silent for some time, Wizkid made a response filled with pointed remarks. He reportedly insulted Seun Kuti, claiming to be more significant than Fela, a statement that prompted significant backlash and controversy.

Seun quickly replied with personal attacks, mocking Wizkid’s stature, alleging the singer was experiencing depression, and asserting that he had lost connection with his cultural heritage. He also questioned Wizkid’s recent live performance success, implying that he had not been able to fill stadiums lately.

In response to Wizkid’s claim about being bigger than Fela, Seun reaffirmed his previous statement, insisting that Wizkid would not find success again unless he removed the Fela tattoo.

Wizkid, however, appeared unaffected. Through his official X (formerly Twitter) account, he dismissed Seun Kuti, indicating that the exchange was not worth his time.

“Never go back and forth with a pig that lives in the mud. 2026 get yours!” Wizkid tweeted.

This statement has led to varied reactions online, as fans and observers remain divided, and the ongoing dispute between the two continues without signs of resolution.
