Recently, a heartwarming video of Nigerian singer, Dbanj aka Kokomaster, has been circulating on social media, to the delight of netizens.
The video featured the singer at rapper CDQ’s premiere event for a song he had featured in with colleague, Timaya.
In the video, upon his arrival, Dbanj runs into top music executive and Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are, and pays his respects, saying “Old soldier never die.” The other guests in the room can be seen watching the two as they play catchup.
Another portion of the video shows Dbanj calling on the manager to join him for a quick TikTok video shoot. Both the singer and Are can be seen having fun and enjoying themselves immensely.
Netizens seem to agree that the meeting of the two celebrities was a heartwarming sight to behold. It is indicative of the impact of the music industry in Nigeria, and how it is able to bring people together despite their different backgrounds.
