Kim Kardashian hosted a launch event for Nike SKIMS on Wednesday, September 24, in the evening. In addition to the founder, celebrities such as Serena Williams and “CBS Mornings” co-host Gayle King arrived prepared to celebrate.

A large number of musicians were also present in the building. Teyana Taylor, who modelled for the shapewear brand’s Cozy Collection in 2021, appeared in a leather jacket over a cutout top and platform boots. A well-known SKIMS face was PinkPantheress, who was seen leaving the event while wearing a red dress over pants.

Travis Scott attended the event clad in a brown leather jacket accompanied by a pair of jeans. He was seen taking pictures with the Kardashian-Jenner family, including Saint West, Kanye West’s eldest child with the entrepreneur.

In conversation with Vogue, Kim stated that SKIMS collaborating with Nike was a logical move, as “SKIMS is highly focused on the body — we offer swimwear, loungewear, and shapewear — so our next step was to transition into activewear.”

The mother of four said, ‘Our dream was to collaborate with Nike.’ Their legacy, innovation, and athlete expertise were the ideal components to combine with SKIMS, and our commitment to the female body.

The initial of seven collaborations between Nike and SKIMS is scheduled to be released on Friday, 26 September. The line will include fabrics created in collaboration between the two companies, with three primary options: Matte, Shine, and Airy.

SKIMS has garnered a significant celebrity fan base over the years. Artists such as Usher, SZA, and Jhené Aiko have all served as models for the brand in various collections. Rappers such as Ice Spice and Cardi B have introduced SKIMS to a completely different group of enthusiasts.
