Staff from Top Dawg Entertainment have officially addressed the allegations of a sexual misconduct lawsuit that surfaced on Friday, January 31.

On Saturday afternoon, February 1, Marty Singer, the legal representative for TDE, contacted Rap-Up, stating, “This lawsuit filed by Linda Luna and Ayah Altayri is a blatant shakedown attempt, where they have demanded $48 million through their lawyers on the basis of fabricated claims, as their lawyers apparently seek to secure their 10 minutes of fame.” Evidence in the form of text messages and communications completely discredits these unfounded allegations. Ms. Luna and Ms. Altayri were not at any point employees of Top Dawg Entertainment. We have every expectation that we will emerge victorious in this case.

The statement was made in response to a report by Newsweek, which claimed that “Two women” had alleged that several executives and employees of TDE had committed acts of sexual harassment, assault and breach of contract against them. The lawsuit asserts that TDE management deliberately ignored the allegations when they first learned about them.

According to the claims, defendants include Chief Marketing Officer Brandon Tiffith, president of TDE, Anthony “Moosa” Tiffith Jr., and TDE’s CEO, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, his son. Many fans on social media appeared surprised by the claims, but several have questioned the timing of the news, as Top Dawg Entertainment is associated with various significant musical events in the near future. The West Coast-based record label has put Doechii forward for multiple Grammy Awards, with SZA and Kendrick Lamar scheduled to perform at Super Bowl LIX prior to embarking on their co-headlining “Grand National Tour.”

SZA’s manager, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, recently posted a new tweet in which he mentioned, “The Grammys”. The Super Bowl Tour. He was questioned about the accusations shortly afterwards and responded with, “To a cat?”
