Tiwa Savage has spoken publicly about her highly publicized conflict with fellow artist Davido, posting a message of reconciliation and reaffirming their friendship.

In a candid interview on The Breakfast Club, which aired on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Savage stated that their disagreement was caused by a miscommunication, yet she still maintains affection for him.

A reported conflict surfaced in January 2024, apparently sparked by Tiwa Savage posting a photo on her Instagram story with Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s first daughter. Davido allegedly received Savage’s disrespect and threats after reportedly sending him offensive messages. Concerned about her own safety, Savage lodged a complaint with the police.

Savage clarified in the interview that her relationship with Sophia Momodu is purely friendly, having originated from their children attending the same school. She attributed the issue to a miscommunication, claiming that she had not expected the post to be perceived as a problem.

Filing the police report was a precautionary measure rather than an act of aggression. Before taking official action, Savage also made a private attempt to resolve the issue by contacting older members of Davido’s family.
