The mother of well-known singer and performer 2Baba has recently appealed to Honourable Natasha in a video to free her son.

A heartfelt social media appeal has been made by Rose Idibia, the mother of Nigerian music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, to Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, requesting that she release her son from what she believes is undue influence.

This development comes as 2Baba reportedly makes a proposal to Osawaru, following his separation from Annie Idibia.

The couple, who had been together since 2012 and have two children, encountered numerous difficulties in their marriage, exacerbated by high-profile scandals involving infidelity and family disagreements.

The news of the divorce sparked a mixed response on social media, with fans expressing a range of reactions.

The proposal to Natasha Osawaru from Tuface has caused a lot of controversy, with many questioning how the singer could move on to a new marriage so soon, just a few weeks after his previous one, and his mother’s recent Instagram announcement has left many even more perplexed.

In the emotional video, Mrs. Idibia voices worry about her son’s current situation, implying that he is not acting independently due to the strain of his ongoing divorce proceedings.

She urged Osawaru to take away the items she considered fetish, namely beads, which she thinks have been employed to exert control over 2Baba.

The woman in the video greeted Nigerians, saying, “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son. My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him. Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him.”

The video triggered a range of reactions on social media, with several people questioning the authenticity of the claims made and suggesting that 2Baba, being an adult, must be able to make his own choices.

People have expressed understanding towards Mrs. Idibia’s worries, recognising the anguish a mother can experience under such conditions.

So far, Natasha Osawaru has not issued an official response to the allegations or the public appeal made by Mrs. Idibia.

The situation remains in flux, with numerous individuals awaiting updated information and hoping for a resolution that takes into account the welfare of all parties concerned.
