Young Thug’s previously-open records from his time in custody during the Young Stoner Life Records RICO trial are now officially sealed, Loren LoRosa stated on Thursday, September 11. The Cobb County Jail system, as of Wednesday (Sept. 10), has blocked further requests for the rapper’s jail communications, this time including the numerous phone calls that led to his recent trouble.

LoRosa explained that you can’t go and get any of those jail calls now, to which DJ Envy jokingly retorted, “They’ve already released all of them, I feel like.” Charlamagne Tha God subsequently clarified that a lawyer informed him last week it wasn’t necessarily Cobb County Jail releasing the records, but rather the Georgia Open Records Act that permitted the public to request them in the first place.

Young Thug initially believed his records were inaccessible to the public, particularly following his conversation with Mariah the Scientist, which leaked in January 2024. Some fans might remember the “Burning Blue” singer asking him, “Daddy, am I your baby?” which went viral, and also Drake publicly criticising then-judge Ural Glanville over the private call being shared online.
