Teyana Taylor – Long Time

Teyana Taylor is once again in the recording studio, and it’s great to report that she is back. Her latest release, the single “Long Time,” is a standout and worth checking out if you’re a fan or simply a fan of innovative R&B. It’s the lead track for her upcoming album, Escape Room, scheduled for release sometime this August.

The electronic flavour of this song is highly pleasing to the ears with its pulsating bassline. The explosive chorus is a nice payoff, but the track’s brevity is a drawback, coming in at just 1:55 and leaving listeners wanting more. Teyana Taylor showcased a lot of creativity in that brief timeframe, and we’re eagerly anticipating what she’ll present on Escape Room.

The song “Long Time” is notable for its lyrics. As previously mentioned, they are quite revealing. Given the current situation surrounding Iman Shumpert, it’s likely that this track was influenced by it to some extent.
