GloRilla is listed as one of the world’s most influential rising stars by TIME100 Next for 2025. On September 30, Tuesday, the publication released its yearly list, featuring the Memphis rapper as one of the limited number of musicians included.

Artists such as Rema, Gracie Abrams, and Teyana Taylor were discussed, with Teyana Taylor specifically writing a tribute to the “TGIF” chart-topper. “As soon as I met GloRilla, I recognised the genuine star quality that is truly a part of her, stemming from her strong and authentic connection to her Memphis roots,” the Escape Room singer wrote. Over the past few years, I’ve observed her developing her artistry with growing confidence, not just as a rapper but also as a woman who is significantly influencing culture in real time.

Taylor went on to praise GloRilla’s “Grammy nods,” three in total for her songs “Yeah Glo!” and “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” as well as her hit collaborations and viral anthems. She described Glo as unique because she unapologetically presents herself authentically. She has altered conversations in Hip Hop, advanced Memphis’s global recognition, and provided young women with a new model for claiming space with genuine authenticity.

Taylor noted that it has been a complete privilege to collaborate with her and assist in realising her ideas. Her company, The Aunties Production, notably provided creative direction for GloRilla’s performance at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards and also choreographed her Coachella set earlier this year.

“It has been a privilege to creative direct for her, but truthfully, Glo has ALWAYS known exactly who she is.” She then told the boy to leave the girl alone and let her do her own thing, reminding him of the GLORIOUS song by the rapper. Taylor concluded that the girl is not merely a part of the culture, she is actually propelling it forward. I am deeply in love with her and my aunt is forever proud! YEAH GLO!”

GloRilla stands out as a unique entity in the music world. Since her breakthrough, she has consistently produced chart-topping hits, risen to the challenge, and frequently surpassed her female and male counterparts. The rapper returned in June after releasing little music since last year’s GLORIOUS with “Typa.”
