T.I. has stated that he is approaching the end of his rap career. In an interview during the 2026 Grammy Awards, the artist known for “Bring Em Out” disclosed that his upcoming album would be his final one.

Recently, he released “LET ‘EM KNOW,” a track produced by Pharrell and serving as the lead single for his anticipated new album, Kill The King, which was first announced in 2021. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the Atlanta rapper reiterated his intention to retire after this album.

“It’s a blessing, man. ‘LET ‘EM KNOW,’ produced by Pharrell. My first single off of my final album. I’m gonna be done. They should know it,” T.I. stated. “I’ve said it before. It’s time.”

Throughout his career, T.I. has suggested aspirations beyond music. His last album, The L.I.B.R.A., was released in 2020, marking his eleventh studio project. In October 2024, he announced his retirement from performing, revealing that his final show was at 96.1 The Beat’s Jingle Ball holiday concert in Atlanta. “I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig because I do not need the money anymore, and I will not be performing,” he informed the station. “I don’t want to do it no more. I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”

One of T.I.’s notable ventures is his foray into stand-up comedy. He released his debut comedy special, Cheaper Than Therapy, in December 2025 through his website Tip Ain’t Funny. Despite his intermittent retirement announcements, the confident Atlanta native believes he has much more to contribute to the world and to spend time with his family.

“I think I have many gifts that God has given me that I can spend more time and attention on and spend more time at home with my family and my grandchildren,” he told ET.

Tip and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, have seven children in total, three of whom (King, Major, and Heiress) are from their marriage. They also have grandchildren through Zonnique, T.I.’s eldest daughter, and their son King.

Currently, there is no official release date for Kill The King.
