It was clear that Drake had a lot to get off his chest. On September 2, Tuesday, the rapper collaborated with old acquaintance Bobbi Althoff for the very first episode of her brand new podcast, “Not This Again.”

Drake and Althoff returned to bed during their extended conversation, much like their initial, now-deleted interview, but this time they were in Switzerland. During the lengthy conversation, he discussed reconciling with Althoff, speculation about undergoing abdominal surgery, and his arrest in Sweden.

One of the most striking aspects was Drake’s decision to conduct interviews with Althoff rather than traditional Hip Hop media outlets. “The aim isn’t to be an unreachable egotist for your entire lifetime, only to converse with Zane Lowe when he poses the most carefully selected questions,” the Views artist clarified.

Predictably, social media had a lot to say about Drake’s comments. The “Mallory Bros Podcast” host Terrell Mallory commented on X, saying “Oh, this Drake interview is going to have guys really upset.” It was noted that there’s an irony in Drizzy’s interview with Althoff: “What’s amusing is that all these rap podcasters were huge fans of Drake, but he ended up giving the interview to him.”

Many others focused on his more outlandish comments as well. Another user commented that Drake is literally talking about the breast milk of Bobbi.

The Toronto rapper jokingly mocked his “Aston Martin Music” collaborator, Rick Ross, for supposedly purchasing counterfeit diamonds. Someone else on the social media platform described his “random shot at Rick Ross” as crazy.

Amid the gems being dropped, a smaller group of people noticed a bit of chemistry developing between Drake and Althoff. “Bobbi, sis, you might have an admirer in him,” one person hilariously said. “That interview would have presumably been brought to a close, I’m simply stating that.”

Following his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar last year, and currently embroiled in a legal dispute with Universal Music Group, Drake appears to be more divisive than ever. Despite widespread criticism, many fans praised him for taking the time to sit down with Althoff. “It’s not a traditional Hip Hop media outlet, but he is tackling a lot of issues in a different manner,” someone observed.

Drake is clearly letting his guard down in this interview,” another user emphasized. I’m beginning to grasp that he doesn’t wish to have [question-and-answer] interviews. He’s looking for an informative conversation.
