The news of Patoranking’s sister and her husband’s deaths left many Nigerians in shock and mourning. According to Instagram blogger Cutie Juls, the couple died in a tragic gas explosion at their home. Film producer and media personality Seun Oloketuyi recently provided more details from Chioma’s close friend, Uchechi. She recounted that on that fateful day, Patoranking’s sister and her husband were upstairs with their three-year-old son, enjoying a quiet afternoon, unaware of the impending danger.
George noticed a strange burning smell and decided to investigate, with Chioma following behind him while their child slept upstairs. As Patoranking’s sister and her husband approached the door to identify the source of the odor, a massive explosion suddenly occurred, causing severe injuries. George suffered critical burns and was put in a coma, while Chioma, though injured, displayed remarkable courage. She managed to call friends and her father for help before they were both rushed to the hospital by neighbors.
Despite her injuries, Chioma remained alert enough to take calls, which offered a brief glimmer of hope amid the chaos. Sadly, that hope was short-lived as she passed away from her injuries on August 30 at around 7:38 PM, leaving her family, including Patoranking, devastated by the loss of his sister and her husband.
The situation surrounding the tragic deaths of Patoranking’s sister and her husband became even more complicated as initial claims about the cause of the explosion were quickly dismissed. According to Seun Oloketuyi’s investigation, the couple’s inverter battery and gas cylinder were ruled out as causes, and the generator was situated far from the main house, adding to the mystery surrounding the incident.
