Saweetie – boffum

Saweetie boffum

Since Saweetie entered the game towards the end of the 2010s, numerous female rappers have emerged and reached star status, including GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Latto, and Megan Thee Stallion among others. We can’t entirely blame those who have forgotten about the Bay Area native.

The artist behind the single “Best Friend” is embarking on a new era this year with the release of “boffum.” The song, which was produced by J White Did It (Cardi B, SZA, 21 Savage), begins with an upbeat and energetic intro that bears a resemblance to the instrumental switch on Kendrick Lamar’s “tv off.”

The song then shifts focus as Saweetie showcases her wealth and sex appeal, implying that she has the power to obtain anything she desires. “Lady or a pimp?” Do you want the steak or the shrimp? She raps in the catchy chorus, “I need both of them, rapper and athlete.”

This fun and bouncy track stays lively from the beginning to the end and carries significant importance for Saweetie too. It’s the lead single for her upcoming project, Hella Pressure.

She posted this news on her Instagram, hinting at some scenes from behind the camera in the music video that follows. “My new song ‘boffum’ is out now and I’m applying hella pressure, as of 8/1,” she wrote.

In the meantime, make sure to spin the boastful single.
