Saucy Santana may have some difficult questions to answer. Viewers of the rapper experienced emotional rollercoaster after footage of him apparently dealing with a health issue was followed by a video of him performing new music and announcing his upcoming album.

A video allegedly showing Saucy Santana being wheeled out of an Atlanta-area Waffle House on Sunday (Sept. 21) went viral. “This Saucy Santana, y’all,” a voice in the clip said as a man was wheeled out of the restaurant on a stretcher.

What the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star’s condition was is still unknown. On Monday, 22 September, Bossip stated that Saucy Santana released a TikTok hours after that, in which he declared “B**ch I’m back.” The artist behind “Bad to the Bone” is seen wearing a hospital gown in the video, with flowing hair, performing “Comin’ In Haute (Intro),” which includes contributions from Mitch and Big Sexy. The caption of the clip states that his new album, Haute Sauce, is set to be released on Wednesday, 24 September.

The authenticity of Saucy Santana’s reported medical emergency was questioned in online discussions, with some speculating it was a publicity move to promote his new album. At first glance, the prevailing view clearly supports the latter perspective.

The commenter directly inquired, “Girl, what were you doing in that Waffle House?” Another fan commented, “This was clearly a setup by Todd,” while another person exclaimed, “Santana!!!” It had people on edge the entire time, and it turned out to be a rollout all along.

Saucy Santana initially gained widespread recognition as a makeup artist for the City Girls, before transitioning to a successful rap career. He has subsequently released a number of successful mixtapes and has become a prominent figure within the LGBTQ+ community. It’s apparent that the supposed hospital stay had no negative impact on his self-promotion.
