Ghanaian music legend Samini collaborates with the Soweto Gospel Choir for their powerful joint single “Chaana.”
The song ‘Chaana’, which translates to ‘shine’, is an uplifting Afro Pop anthem aiming to inspire and motivate Africans, highlighting the continent’s boundless potential, adaptability, and solidarity.
The song skillfully combines Samini’s unique sound with genuine African roots, incorporating the WALA dialect from Wa, the Upper West Region of Ghana, his hometown, alongside Zulu elements performed by the Soweto Gospel Choir.
This fusion produces a Pan-African musical experience that honours diversity while highlighting a shared cultural heritage.

Samini’s newest song “Chaana” marks a fresh start, serving as the lead track from his upcoming album “Origin8a,” which is scheduled for release in 2025.
