Rio Da Yung Og has not released any new solo material in approximately five months. For a native of Michigan, that’s an interminable wait, which he alludes to on his new single, “Sneaky ‘B’.” “He hasn’t rapped in two weeks and thinks it’s been a minute,” he says.

That bar is a genuine indication of how productive this person is. He’s dedicated himself to filling the streets with music, but it makes sense. Rio Da Yung Og is just eight months out of federal prison. He was in Arkansas for five years after being charged with possession of a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking crime.

During his early stages of return, he didn’t squander time and instead released RIO FREE, followed by a deluxe edition in early February. Following that, he took a brief pause before releasing “Sneaky ‘B'” – the lead single to his upcoming project, scheduled for release later this summer.

According to the press release, the title is F.L.I.N.T. (Feeling Like I’m Not Through), which suits it perfectly. His enthusiasm and sense of urgency on this track are plainly evident. It’s still admirable that he wants to dominate, and you have to respect that about someone who’s been involved in the game for a few years.
