Rico Nasty – On The Low

Rico Nasty On The Low

Rico Nasty is characterised by her aggressive style. She possesses a boisterous personality and a commanding voice that enables her to achieve the success her musical contemporaries can only imagine. The rapper’s quirks often overshadow the breadth of her musical talent. Rico Nasty has released a new track which serves as the second single from her forthcoming album, LETHAL, and it’s a significant departure from her previous hits such as “SMACK A B*TCH” or the first single “TEETHSUCKER.” She opted for a more melodic tone on the track “On the Low,” achieving a surprisingly effective outcome. Rico Nasty is not generally famous for her vocal abilities, yet she effectively demonstrates her capability to maintain a melodic tone in this performance.

“Doja Cat’s music is an influence on the track ‘On the Low’.” It’s clear from listening that Rico Nasty aimed to craft her own rendition of Doja Cat’s “Agora Hills,” and in certain parts of the song, her delivery and ad-libs suggest an influence from her “Tia Tamera” collaborator. This is not necessarily a negative occurrence. Nasty’s approximation is remarkably accurate. The rapper also adds her own unique twist to the hyperpop style. Ride it like I’m on a bike. “No toys, little kid, we’re taking our time,” she raps.

I only use pillow talk to get something from her. Lift your wrist, because nasty is aiming to take it to the next level on her upcoming album, and we’re eager to see where “On the Low” falls in line with her broader creative direction.
