Portable Turns Himself In To The Police And Is Scheduled To Be Transferred To Ogun State

He voluntarily handed himself over to the police on Wednesday following a declaration by the Ogun State Police Command that he was wanted.

Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has turned himself in to the authorities after being placed on the wanted list by the Ogun State Police Command.

On Wednesday, the singer who had been declared wanted since Monday, February 17, 2025, surrendered to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Lagos, specifically in the Panti, Yaba area. He is being taken to Ogun State, where he will be turned over to the authorities for additional investigation.

Portable was being sought in connection with an alleged assault on three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, at the Ota Zonal Office. According to reports, government officials were assaulted while performing their responsibilities in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota, Ogun State.

The singer had stated on social media before his surrender that he was receiving treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Aro, Abeokuta. The individual described himself as a “madman” and sought medical treatment while appealing to the Ogun State Government and the Nigerian public.

Following his surrender, Portable is expected to undergo questioning and potential legal action in connection with the claims against him.
