Portable Makes A Surprising Announcement About His Future In Music

Music street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, more commonly known as Portable, has confirmed intentions to return to school, with the aim this time of acquiring a more in-depth understanding of music’s business aspects.

The Zazu crooner stated that despite already possessing an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, he aims to pursue further education in order to improve his knowledge of effectively managing his career and record label.

Portable said his decision to return to school stems from a desire to become more involved in Zeh Nation’s operations and gain hands-on experience with royalties, contracts, and music distribution, rather than relying solely on others for these tasks. Although I already hold an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still wish to pursue further education so that I can gain a better understanding of my music royalties and business deals, particularly for my record label, Zeh Nation.

The singer made it clear that his choice wasn’t motivated by the need for yet another certificate, but by his desire to become more business-minded and manage his music business with a professional attitude. Audiences have commended the decision, perceiving it as an indication of the artist’s growth and increased maturity.

One fan commented, “Finally, Portable is thinking like a real boss,” and another added, “Education is important; artists need to understand their royalties and contracts.”

Portable’s shift from dominating street anthems to prioritizing education marks a new phase in his career, where knowledge rather than fame is now the primary focus.
