Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has been released on bail after spending several days in detention.

He was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Ota, Ogun State, on January 12, 2026, facing nine criminal charges brought by the Ogun State Police Command. The charges include assault, theft, and obstruction of law enforcement officers.

The allegations state that Portable is accused of assaulting multiple individuals, including his estranged partner Ashabi Simple, and of stealing a Mercedes-Benz E300 valued at ₦12 million, belonging to Ileyemi Damilola.

He is also accused of resisting arrest and obstructing a female police officer, Inspector Ogungbe Olayemi, during the execution of her duties.

During his first court appearance, the presiding judge denied him bail due to the absence of the allegedly assaulted officer and ordered him to be held in custody. A subsequent bail hearing was scheduled for January 19, 2026.

After the hearing, Portable was granted bail, and footage shared online showed him and his associates celebrating the outcome.

Since his release, Portable has adopted the new name β€œInnocenti.”
