Police Have Stated That They Have Taken People Into Custody Who Are Linked To The Stabbing Of Lil Kesh

Police have announced that they caught people related to the robbery and stabbing of Lil Kesh.

The police in Kano State have stated that they arrested two main suspects tied to the attack on the Nigerian musician, Ololade Keshinro, who is better known as Lil Kesh.

The suspects, named Mathew Adewole, who is 25 years old, and Mukhtar Muhammad, who is 31, were captured in Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano, after a targeted operation based on gathered information.

Reports say that these two men attacked the singer at his home in Bera Estate, Chevron, Lagos, on August 19, 2025, leaving him with serious cuts on his neck as they tried to kill him.

After this happened, Lil Kesh spoke to his fans on X, letting them know he was getting better.

“Life threw me a tough situation, but I’m safe, recovering, and thankful to be here. I appreciate all the love, support, and prayers,” he wrote.

In a recent update shared on Saturday via X, the Kano Police Command revealed that they found ₦2.12 million that was linked to the robbery with the suspects. Both men have been moved to the Lagos State Police Command for more investigation and possible charges.

Police spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna, said that Adewole confessed to attacking the singer and then transferred ₦2,120,000 from his bank account to Muhammad’s account using his phone.

Haruna called the arrests a “significant success” achieved through gathering information and working with the community, following the orders of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

He also mentioned that the police are dedicated to improving their information gathering and continuing community policing efforts to effectively fight violent crime.
