PlaqueBoyMax’s profession as an engineer is only a small part of who he is, in addition to being a livestream enthusiast. Watching his growth as an artist alongside big names such as Rob49 and Veeze has been incredible to observe, and their latest tracks “Yea Yea” and “5Star” clearly showcase his enhanced skills.

The latter features some ad-libs courtesy of none other than DJ Drama, as stated by Genius, which adds a boost to the energy of a keys-based, crisp, and peppy beat. In terms of tempo, the hanging tones and fluttery drum pattern produce a lot of speed, and the “ATL Freestyles” duo deliver some sharp lyrics and solid energies.

PlaqueBoyMax’s ambitions to establish a record label did not deter him from delivering a verse on “Yea Yea,” which comes across as slightly harder-hitting and more menacing than before, primarily due to more resonant and menacing bells and piano keys. Rob and Veeze also accelerate slightly more on this track, showcasing even more back-and-forth energy before PBM brings the record to a close.

These collaborations haven’t stopped other rappers from feuding with PlaqueBoyMax, yet it’s evident that his concentration on his work keeps him above such trivial squabbles. We can expect even more link-ups and new collaborations to arise in the years to come.

Rob49 and Veeze are nearly as prolific as the duo in question and appear to complement Max’s energy well, suggesting potential for future hits. Managing multiple ventures and relationships has been quite challenging for these individuals, yet “Yea Yea” and “5Star” showcase a distinct and potentially cohesive artistic approach.
