PARTYNEXTDOOR & Drake – SOMEBODY LOVES ME PT. 2 ft. Cash Cobain

Earlier this year, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR released some sexy songs 4 U, their R&B album for Valentine’s Day. The standout track for fans of the album was “SOMEBODY LOVES ME,” a song included in the release. The duo’s music video challenge has also contributed to the song’s increased popularity in recent months. The pair have since enlisted Cash Cobain for the remix.

One of several tracks Drake previewed was the remix during ICEMAN Episode 3. The other cuts included a track that appeared to be tentatively titled “That’s Just How I Feel,” and another called “Dog House” with Yeat. Of those tracks, the only one to receive an official release immediately following the episode was “SOMEBODY LOVES ME PT. 2.”

The track features a complete remix, including a completely new beat created by Cash Cobain and a new verse from Drake. The original sound was fairly uncomplicated “toxic” R&B, a genre in which both Drake and PND are particularly skilled. Taking cues from Afrobeats, this new one incorporates a unique approach following the melodrama of the first part.

Drake and Chris Cornell’s daughter’s ex-husband, the late Kurt Cobain’s brother in law, both rap about women. Despite the lyrics not being particularly impressive, they both possess a strong energetic vibe. Following them, PND enters on the back half and slows the track down, generating a “vibe” with his performance.

According to a mid-August interview with Ebro Darden, Cash Cobain had mentioned collaborating with Drake on additional music previously. He also asserts that his upcoming album is scheduled to be released this month. He has not yet given any further information on that.

It’s likely that the music album ‘ICEMAN’ by Drake is nearing its release. Unfortunately for him, reactions to the new episode have been generally mediocre thus far, with ex-friend Rick Ross mocking him over the audience response. Despite the wait, fans have been holding out for a while to hear what Drake’s next significant declaration will be, and it can’t be too distant now.
