Nigerian sonic-artist, Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi Ọlọfọrọ, popularly known as Brymo, is continually facing the wrath of the public due to his recent activities on the Internet as regards the forthcoming General election.

The controversial singer, who has been under fire for his questionable and controversial comments, which have been tribally motivated, has been in the news all week. Brymo, who tweeted comments like “F*ck The Ndi Igbo!! To H*ll With It!!” amidst other derogatory remarks toward the easterners, continues to stand by his words.

In an update of events, a Nigerian, Charles Ogundele, launched a petition against the alternative singer, with the motive of ensuring that the public prevents the singer from winning at the 2023 All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA). According to the petition, which has so far received 6,000 signatures, including Brymo’s, it reads:

Preventing him from winning the All Africa Music Award would send a strong message to him and people like him that he can’t get away with such blatant ethnic bigotry.
