Olamide Addresses Nigerians With A Heartfelt Message

Nigerian music artist Olamide Adedeji, commonly referred to as Olamide Baddo, has conveyed a heartfelt message on Instagram in response to a distressing week characterized by tragic incidents across the country.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, the rapper shared a somber message on his Instagram Story, expressing his profound concern regarding the recent surge of violence and loss. His statement followed reports of several tragic events, including the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, an attack on a church in Kwara State, and a fatal accident involving prospective NYSC members traveling to camp.

In the screenshot of his emotional message, Olamide expressed his sorrow and encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful despite the prevailing turmoil. “My heart bleeds,” he wrote. “So much loss. So much pain. May God console every family grieving right now. May we find hope amidst this chaos and unity in this pain. God protect us all. The news this week has been devastating. #PrayForNigeria.”

His response appears to be influenced by the series of distressing reports that have been prominent in national discussions. Earlier in the week, gunmen attacked a girls’ secondary school in Kebbi State, leading to the abduction of over 20 students and the death of a staff member. Concurrently, worshippers at a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State, were attacked, resulting in multiple fatalities and the abduction of several individuals, including a pastor. Additionally, prospective corps members from Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) lost their lives in a road accident while en route to Gombe for NYSC orientation.

Although Olamide typically keeps his political views private, his poignant post aligns him with a growing number of public figures speaking out as the nation faces increasing insecurity. His message serves as a call for unity, reflection, and collective healing during a time when many Nigerians are grappling with the impact of recent events.
