Reekado Banks, whose real name is Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, a well-known Nigerian singer, has responded to an online critic who ridiculed him for attending a church service.

Kesari, a content creator, sparked drama after sharing on Instagram that he was contemplating a closer relationship with God, but was uncertain whether to lean towards Christianity or Islam. Reekado Banks, in response to the troll, extended an invitation to him to attend his church.

A video showing the two worshipping together quickly gained widespread online attention, prompting a diverse range of reactions. Although many people were praising the move, one critic responded with a scathing remark which stated: “When they are unsuccessful in music, they begin attending church.”

The former Mavin Records star was not reluctant to speak his mind. In a video posted to his page, he expressed his frustration: “Forget that, whose comment I saw was what made me feel down today.” My friend phoned me and instructed me to erase it, followed by an expletive.

The response has sparked further online discussion, with supporters divided between backing the singer’s right to his beliefs and criticising the severity of his response.
