NBA YoungBoy is currently touring the country, with his performances generating a significant amount of attention – ranging from positive to negative reviews. He was set to perform in Atlanta twice, but the second performance has been abruptly cancelled.

A Baton Rouge rapper’s Atlanta performance on Wednesday night (Oct. 15) became viral due to a contentious diss track and a presentation of a Key to the City. YoungBoy Never Broke Again performed “I Hate YoungBoy,” which disses Atlanta natives, including 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, Lil Durk and the late King Von. The 25-year-old rapper allegedly had the person believed to be the killer on stage.

State Farm Arena announced on Thursday, October 16, that the second Atlanta show had been cancelled. It is unclear whether the previously mentioned information influenced this outcome.

In a statement, State Farm Arena announced that it has cancelled the NBA YoungBoy concert set to take place on Saturday, 18 October in Atlanta. Refunds will be automatically issued if you purchased through Ticketmaster. If you bought from a third-party vendor, please contact the place where you made the purchase.

The City of Atlanta also claims it did not award the Key to the City to NBA YoungBoy, reportedly given to him on Wednesday night. A clarification from the Mayor’s Office of Film Entertainment & Nightlife stated the specifics of the award given.

The statement on AMOFEN’s Instagram account says that the City of Atlanta and the Mayor’s Office of Film, Entertainment and Nightlife were not involved in this presentation, even though they respect those who choose to acknowledge cultural or community impact. This recognition was made by representatives of Fulton County and the Georgia state government.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s “MASA Tour” is currently taking place. Past events in Detroit and Chicago have been cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” and speculated safety concerns, respectively. The next stop on the “MASA Tour” is scheduled for Sunday, 19 October in New Orleans.

Regardless of the current status of his tour or the specifics of any awards he has received, business operations persist. The Don’t Try This At Home rapper announced on Thursday that his next album, Slime Cry, is due for release on November 28.
