He is a product of the distinctive Toronto sound that Aubrey and Abel have been associated with over the past decade and a half, and while he doesn’t bring much new to the table, his ability to emulate their style is noteworthy. NAV can produce a catchy song when he’s paired with the correct instrumental. Metro Boomin has now provided the perfect instrumental for their new collaborative track, “REAL ME.” Since their collaboration on Perfect Timing in 2017, the duo has apparently managed to maintain their skills without any lapse.

Rexdale is shaping up to be among the most impressive releases in OMW2, the rapper’s discography to date. The upcoming 12 months, 2025, is emerging as a pivotal year for Canadian artists, including The Weeknd, Drake, PND, Tory Lanez, and now, the self-proclaimed Brown Boy. The rapper’s sound is enhanced by Metro Boomin’s addition of a spacious echo, accompanied by a creeping bass. Metro is the standout artist in this song and is likely to be the main contributor to the upcoming album. Although ‘NAV’ has his own role, “REAL ME” is considered one of the top solo singles to date. OMW2 Rexdale is poised to be one of the rapper’s best releases to date. 2025 is really panning out to be a Canada-dominated 12 months, between the Weeknd, Drake, PND, Tory Lanez and now, the self-proclaimed Brown Boy.
