Mr Eazi’s emPawa Africa Is Looking To Buy Music Collections From Africa

Afrobeats superstar and business owner, Mr Eazi, is raising his goals by planning to buy music collections from Africa through his company, emPawa Africa.

He shared this news on Monday, September 15, 2025, on his official X account (previously known as Twitter), where he asked music rights holders to get in touch. “By the way, I’m looking to buy music collections. If you own an African music collection (with proof) and have three years of income history and want to sell part of it, reach out to @emPawaAfrica,” he said.

This action shows a growing pattern in the worldwide music business, where big companies are buying music collections, which are the rights to an artist’s work, to earn money over a long time. Artists often gain by getting a big payment upfront, while the company earning from future payments.

By asking for proof of ownership and at least three years of income history, Mr Eazi through emPawa Africa seems to be focusing on established music collections that have shown they are valuable. This plan also fits with Mr Eazi’s goal of keeping African creative work in the hands of Africans while making emPawa a major part of the fast-growing music scene in Africa.

This new effort follows the company’s recent hiring of Miller Williams as Head of Publishing, who will focus on growing their music collections and expanding internationally. EmPawa Africa, known for finding and helping artists like Joeboy, is now showing a new direction, which could change how African music is appreciated and sold around the world.

With this latest step, Mr Eazi continues to show he is more than just an artist; he is also a creative business leader setting new standards for the African music industry.
