Mozzy – 4 A NECKLACE

Mozzy’s intrusive thoughts are getting the better of him once more, and this is evident on his latest single, “4 A Necklace.” The second single is for INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS 2, a follow-up to his previously mentioned album that was released this April.

The independent rapper from Sacramento was set to make a swift comeback on July 25. For reasons that remain unclear, the event did not materialize. This Friday, August 8, is now here. You can view the full tracklist at your convenience on digital streaming platforms.

Compared to its predecessor, this release features 12 songs, down from 18. Artists featured include YFN Lucci, Boosie Badazz, Hunxho, Nardo Wick, and additional performers. The lead single is Mozzy and Lucci’s “23 AND 1”. It has been available since July 2.

It is uncertain whether this will be a compilation of B-sides or simply a follow-up to the initial release. After experiencing the evident effort and care put into “4 A NECKLACE”, we are assuming IT2 will resemble the latter more closely.

The track begins with a somber female vocal sample that establishes a somber mood from the outset. Mozzy’s unpretentious authenticity on the album is refreshing as he maintains a genuine tone when discussing the challenges he faces in his life. He’s encountered everything. Violence, drugs, and broken families have all taken a devastating toll. Because of it, he has become resilient, and it’s evident on “4 A NECKLACE.”
