A Los Angeles jury acquitted Metro Boomin in his civil sexual assault case on Thursday, September 25. After a brief deliberation, the five-man and three-woman panel decided that plaintiff Vanessa LeMaistre was unable to prove all four of her claims against the “Trance” producer, which encompassed charges of rape and sexual battery.

Metro Boomin expressed gratitude, stating that the truth had ultimately prevailed, he shared this sentiment with reporters outside the courtroom, as reported by legal journalist Meghann Cuniff, after Young Thug attended his trial on Wednesday, September 24.

Leland Tyler Wayne, the Grammy Award-nominated producer whose legal name is, was taken to court by LeMaistre in October 2024. According to her initial court documents, she stated that the two individuals were first introduced to each other in 2016 while in Las Vegas, and subsequently met on multiple occasions at a studio located in Los Angeles.

LeMaistre testified that she “blacked out” after taking Xanax and having “a few sips” of alcohol that Metro Boomin provided at a studio session. She then awoke in a hotel room to find him lying on top of her.

LeMaistre later claimed that, a year after her initial allegations, the producer released the track “Rap Saved Me” featuring 21 Savage and Offset, which she thought was a reference to her. Among the song lyrics referenced in the court case were “She took a Xanax, then she fainted” and “She drives me crazy, have my baby.”

LeMaistre demanded compensation of between $3.4 million and $3.7 million. She stated that the numbers came to her during an “Ayahuasca ceremony” she attended while in Peru in 2024.

As previously reported by Naijahomeland, Metro Boomin testified and rejected the claims. I’m unsure of where to begin. It’s utterly absurd. He exclaimed to the court, “I’m still having trouble believing I’m up here doing this at the moment.”

For her to accuse me of something like that, it’s something I could never fully understand. He admitted he was unable to articulate the punishment he believed should be given to those who commit rape. Metro Boomin later stated in testimony that he had lost his mother due to domestic abuse, and he maintains the opinion that individuals who commit sexual abuse should be subjected to extreme suffering and death.
