Logic – Witness

Logic Severed Ties

Significant promotion efforts have been made by Logic for the upcoming release of his latest album, SideQuest, with the new single, “Witness,” continuing to convince fans that it is his latest chart-topper. The latest single from the upcoming album showcases a creative shift towards chaotic experimentation reminiscent of Carti, though it currently appears more disconnected than bold.

The song “Witness” features an energetic and unconventional rhythm, delivered with a lively tempo and accompanied by distorted harmonies. This production requires a dynamic vocal performance. Logic’s delivery consists of soft, whispery lines and a chorus that feels aimless. The attempt at reinvention is a bold move, but it falls short of being convincing or clear.

The song’s lyrics stick to well-known themes: brief boasts about wealth, excessive drinking, and fast-paced rhymes that prioritise swiftness over complexity. The film “Witness” adopts trendy visual styles without making a unique statement. His delivery seems more like an imitation than something genuinely inspiring.

Logic’s newest sound has received a mixed reaction from his supporters. “I really enjoy how unrestricted Logic sounds at present,” commented a fan on the YouTube platform. Another fan added, “Bob is in his ‘idgaf’ era, and it’s great.” The more fun one can have.

Comments also pertained to all the music that had been released previously for SideQuest. One fan commented, “Is there going to be another hit song like the last one? Completing three side quests on the album so far has put it at number one.” I’m no longer sure what this is.
