Logic – The Adventures of Cocaine Larry

Logic The Adventures of Cocaine Larry

In 2025, Logic has been operating unconsciously. It appears that each week brings forth new music for us to explore. However, we are not expressing dissatisfaction, particularly since the majority of the songs have been of high quality. “The Adventures of Cocaine Larry” stands out as yet another significant piece, showcasing the Maryland native adopting a fresh persona.

He embodies the titular character, who grapples with a severe cocaine addiction, exhibits impressive movement in the streets, and possesses an overall intimidating presence. “’67 got an old body like it’s a flame / Mr. Miyagi, yeah, b*tch, I’ma wax that a*s / And after I’m done, roll me a joint, pass me the flask.”

In addition to embracing this character, Logic employs various vocal effects that alter his sound entirely. Beyond his desire to depict a new identity, this may also relate to the fact that this track is produced by Peanuts.

Peanuts serves as his production alter ego, akin to the personas crafted by artists such as Mac Miller. However, this release does not fall under the Peanuts label, as Logic has not engaged with that aspect of his career since the previous August.

Nonetheless, this track offers an enjoyable experience, thanks to his engaging performance and the captivating boom bap loop he introduces. It evokes the classic Logic that we have come to cherish.

We will observe whether he maintains this direction, similar to his approach with the Sidequest collection. In the meantime, stay tuned and listen to “The Adventures of Cocaine Larry” below.
