Logic – FOMO

Logic FOMO

Logic has consistently articulated his past struggles with depression. In his most recent track, “FOMO,” he seeks assistance as he descends further into despair. “I need you to hold my hand,” he sings in the chorus, conveying a profound sense of urgency for salvation.

Throughout the song, the creator of Bobby Tarantino reflects on his existence, pondering everything from its significance to its end. The production of the track evokes a mesmerizing nirvana atmosphere reminiscent of the early 90s.

“FOMO” serves as a precursor to the film, Paradise Records, which marks Logic’s debut as a director. In this film, the rap artist is portrayed as a man striving to rescue a local record store from closure. The cast features an eclectic mix of characters that contribute both humor and unexpected developments to the narrative.

This latest single paves the way for the release of Logic’s upcoming album, SideQuest, which is his first project under a new agreement with BMG. This album is anticipated to be the most experimental of his career as he explores various musical genres.

The forthcoming album represents a significant stylistic evolution for the Maryland rapper, showcasing his most adventurous work to date. Renowned for his lyrical skill and boom-bap roots, Logic is now embracing a more intense, trap-influenced sound characterized by bold production and genre blending.

Several tracks from SideQuest have already been released, including β€œIt’s a Fee,” β€œEveryone’s Dead Already,” and β€œSold Out.” The highlight of the album, β€œGoROUND,” incorporates a sample from the Beastie Boys and features rapid-fire verses infused with confidence and self-assurance. Fans have received this release positively, viewing it as a return to Logic’s more incisive lyrical style, especially following a series of more reflective or conceptual works.
