Lloyd Banks – Courtside (Freestyle)

Lloyd Banks Courtside Freestyle

Lloyd Banks has proven to be an extraordinary talent. Whenever he is given a beat to rap over, he instinctively knows the direction to take. He resembles the ChatGPT of rappers. While this may seem like a cheesy moniker, it is currently the best way to characterize him.

This is particularly evident after listening to his most recent freestyle, “Courtside.” In this track, he skillfully takes on Playboi Carti’s hit “EVIL J0RDAN,” showcasing a variety of flows and rhyme patterns. “You’re fortunate I’m not in my former ways; otherwise, you would have been shown the exit / I am about to announce the tour; I have evolved into an entrepreneur / The bank will never be depleted, just like Janhvi Kapoor every day.”

Additionally, consider this set of lines: “Chrome Heart in these b*tches’ faces / Killing it for an extended period / You haven’t really progressed; you receive no complaints / All professional talkers, stalkers, Bogard when we open the gates.”

He remains completely focused from beginning to end, discovering every possible pocket regardless of the beat’s direction. This illustrates how lyrical rap can transcend traditional boom bap or jazz instrumentals.

“Banks’ lyrics over a Carti beat are insane,” a commenter on YouTube notes. “It takes me back to 2004 when Banks was awarded Mixtape Artist of the Year!!! The beats are consistently being dominated…” another commenter adds. Check out the excitement for yourself through the link below.
