Lloyd Banks – Cheat Code (Freestyle)

Lloyd Banks Cheat Code Freestyle

The ongoing reunion of Clipse has motivated New York rapper Lloyd Banks to release a hot series of bars over the weekend. A former member of G-Unit chose to collaborate on the Pharrell Williams-produced instrumental for “Ace Trumpets,” which is the lead single for Let God Sort Em Out. Banks posted a brief freestyle on his social media platforms, specifically on Instagram and YouTube, and as per usual, it’s full of smooth punchlines.

Like Pusha T and Malice, Lloyd excels with a single letter rhyme scheme. As you can hear below, he selects the letter “o” and proceeds to heavily emphasize the trunk-rattling beat.

Released just about two months after his previous project, A.O.N. 3: DESPITE MY MISTAKES, this “Cheat Code Freestyle” marks the third installment in the ALL OR NOTHING series, with it being the first to not feature DJ Drama as a host. Banks did manage to secure some notable guests in Ghostface Killah, Ransom, Styles P, and TL TopOfDaLyne.

The album was the first to debut on a streaming service such as Spotify, marking a major release overall. Additionally, Lloyd Banks released it on his 43rd birthday.

Ultimately, this performance demonstrates how little recognition the experienced artist still receives. Benny The Butcher recently made sure to show him respect by giving him the recognition he deserved, specifically for his past affiliation with G-Unit.

Lloyd Banks is widely regarded as one of the best rappers of all time. He’s a skilled rapper that others are reluctant to compete against. He received a million lines. You’d be like, “How the heck I didn’t think of that.”

The Butcher was incorrect. Just in case you need a reminder, you should certainly look at “Cheat Code” below.
