Lizzo And BigXthaPlug Spark Talk About Teaming Up After Grooving To “The Largest”

There may be a new Texas anthem on the way. On Wednesday, September 10, Lizzo and BigXthaPlug got their fans super excited when they shared a video of themselves dancing to his song “The Largest. ”

“We are the BIGGEST in the game! ” Lizzo wrote in the post. Fans quickly commented, asking if the two are working together on new music. One person wondered, “Does this mean a collaboration is on the way? ” while another Instagram user said, “I can’t even explain how much I want a collaboration from these two.”

What makes this news really interesting is that neither Lizzo nor BigXthaPlug sticks to just one music style. In August, BigXthaPlug, who is from Dallas, released an album called I Hope You’re Happy, which mostly included country singers like Luke Combs, Bailey Zimmerman, and Ella Langley. He shared with Apple Music’s Thomas Rhett about his choice to mix rap and country, saying, “I looked for anyone I thought had a bit of soul in them. ”

“Okay, he looks good with that new haircut,” said a commenter talking about BigXthaPlug cutting off his dreadlocks last month. Another person excitedly mentioned, “My Texas people are here,” and someone else commented, “I really love this new Lizzo. ”

Regarding Lizzo, she seems to be in a very exciting part of her career after her album Special. In July, she put out MY FACE HURTS FROM SMILING and then released a deluxe version last Friday, September 5. The original album featured songs from SZA and Doja Cat, and the new version added nine more tracks with guests like Lil Jon and Tierra Whack.

“I felt like I needed to release those songs to surprise people’s expectations of me,” Lizzo told New York Magazine about the album. “This helped me discover something new that I really wanted. I wanted people to rediscover who I am and fall in love with that side of me all over again. ”
